The thought was that there will be a lot ...I agree. The thought was that there will be a lot of water and moisture and I wanted to build it once and not worry about it. In reality, I'm sure basic pine would have been fine as well. I also built the bench supports out of green treated wood. Nonetheless, I'm sure all the other components such as stove paint, rocks (some may contain radiation like quartz), essential oils and so on also emit things that aren't great for your health, so it's not a perfect bubble, but hopefully, it's not a terrible environment either.
